Today's Notable Quote: "Keep your fears to yourself; share your courage with others." - Robert Louis Stevenson
While driving home from the Post Office today, I happend to glance in my rear-view mirror as I waited for the traffic signal to change from red to green.
What I saw at that moment caused me to catch my breath, shudder, and feel my blood "run cold"--all at once.
In the car behind me sat a very small, ancient female (at least I think it was a female, from the tuft of silvery-blue hair which was barely visible over the steering wheel) waiting for the same light change. This alone would not cause much consternation on my part--despite the fact that her vehicle (a 1980's era Caddy) was roughly twice the length and 3 times the weight of my Honda Accord. The source of my described distress was what she was DOING, rather than what she was DRIVING...
If you guessed that she was talking on her cellphone...give yourself a "pat on the back". And while your at it, give me one too--for making it home safely. WHEW!!
