Today's Notable Quote:
“A puritan is a person who pours righteous indignation into the wrong things.” - G.K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936).
I was reminded of this great Chesterton quote upon the reading of Ben McConnell's Church of the Customer Blog post from July 12, 2007. When a person is thrust into a position of "near sainthood"--it would seem--at the very least--they would conduct themselves in a circumspect manner--particularly online--even when using a pseudonym. Another quote (this one from Abraham Lincoln) comes to mind in light of this revelation: "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power". Indeed.
