Notable Quote: "New York City was shut down yesterday by three inches of rain and a tornado in Brooklyn. The trains, the subways, the roads... they all stopped working. There were small boulders on the West Side Highway and rivers of water everywhere." - Seth Godin from his blog on August 9, 2007.
I was in Metro when this happened. Went from sunny skies and sweltering heat to some of the weirdest looking weather I've seen. Subways, roadways and other means of moving humans from one place to another were compromised in an instant...If I were a climatologist, meteorologist or politician--I'd call it "Global Clouding and Winding"...What they're missing is this: people weren't complaining about the trains or the roads.
New York "talk radion" was abuzz with callers screeching about the lack of disaster communication.
