Polling the populace probably produces problematic poppycock periodically. So...why do it? Perhaps it is as simple (for advertisers and agencies) to answer truthfully as it was for the notorious bank robber Willie Sutton when asked "Willie, why do you rob banks?" to which he replied, "Because that's where the money is."
