The Times can always claim that they were simply reporting what the MPAA study concluded. About the agendas of both organizations, one can only speculate. Seth, as a marketing consultant, makes the further point the marketers can use numbers to great effect. What, we may then ask, are the MPAA or the NYT marketing?
